Next Class Begins June 7th, 2013

This intermediate jewelry class is available to those who have taken and completed my beginning jewelry fabrication course, or have equal jewelry experience.

Now that you know the basics, this class is full of fun intermediate jewelry projects and useful tips, hints, and tricks of the trade. Learn how to set different types of stones and fine tune your soldering skills.

This is another 40 hours of class packed full of information and hands on creating. I am really looking forward to watching you all blossom with your designs and experiment and express your creative sides!

  • Intermediate Design
  • Dapping (Doming)
  • Disc Cutting


Day 1: Introduction & Review for intermediate jewelry making, basic steel tool making and simple stamp making. Introduction to Riveting and Stamping, Create a layered, riveted, and stamped pair of earrings.

Day 2:  Introduction to faceted stone setting and dapping. We will design and create a sterling silver filigree style pendant with a small round faceted stone (stone provided)

Day 3: Design and Create a detailed sterling silver chain link necklace with clasp. (may add stones if desired)

Day 4: Big Design Project: include pierce work, sweat soldering, faceted stone setting, stamping etc….. all in one design

Day 5: Students will have all day to bring all of their projects to completion

Bring all of your beginning jewelry tools to class, A smaller tool kit is included in this class fee as well as a sterling silver metals kit.
